This is the first time I've hunted Corpus Christi. Was about waist deep in the surf and dug this ring. Its stamped 925 in the middle of the band but it looks like its outer borders are gold. Along the outer inside edge it's also stamped B.916. Is it just gold plated outer borders?

Sorry about the poor photo quality. All I have on this trip is my phone cam.

Thanks guys! I looked up the 916 stamp and saw that it could mean 22k. I got my loupe out and took a closer look at the borders. Looking at the ring from the edge, they are actually thick bands of gold applied to the silver base. I think I may have a silver AND gold ring.

SWEEET! Find.

Another for the Chest. :treasurechest:

Nice gold/silver combo!

Nice find. Silver and gold always make for a great hunt.

Good score on the ring.....if it's stamped 916 the outer band might actually be 22k and not plated.

Regards + HH
