Dug this am in a trashy lot. Almost embarrassed to post. Only reason why I kept it is because of the writing and I’m curious. Says McB. Would anyone have any insight? Thanks for viewing!! IMG_0487.webp

I was thinking a jar lid. I found similar lids before to Ponds jars. This may be the company.

Antique Find Rare J.E. McBrady & Co. Chicago Milk Glass Jar, Medical Cannabis Company Early 1900's.
May have been a cannabis cream product. Lid is in good shape as shown, does unscrew from bottom. Measures: 2.5" x 2"

Hey treashore I think you’ve cracked the code. je mcbrady company used the McB in cream/powder jars. Looks as if the formed in 1909. Seeing advertisements as late as 1938. Either way I appreciate you taking time out to look at it.

Lol!! Would not surprise me considering all of weird, barely identifiable junk I’ve been finding lately. One of these days I will dig something I can identify at first glance.

No problem. Now I learnt something along the way too as I never heard of this company before our research.
