Could this be turquoise?

Greetings all. I found this a while back in a Texas creek. I am no expert but it looks like turquoise to me. The color seems to run through the rock. Thanks for looking.

Gee Wiz thanks for the info. It's not very big but the color just stood out. I didn't know turquoise was in my neck of the woods. That's the good thing about digital cameras, if you don't like it, dump it and do it again.
