could use some button help

This is a button i found sunday at an old foundation the front has nothing on it. the back however after some cleaning has a buch of different designs on it and a name stanp colour around the edge it has a holly branch on 1 side and a wheat stalk on the other they are tied together with a clover the middle has some designs also. it almost looks like it could be advertising the different types of designs you could get from the company on the buttons as it looks like a little of every thing was put on the back. was wondering how old thakns for any help

Nice old button. The p in "stanp" is actually a small (yet capital) D. This abbreviation was used for "standard" colour.

Thanks Ben, it looked a little funny compared to the other letters. I couldn't tell if it was a p or a d but the loop was higher then the rest of the letters so I figured a distorted p. That may help.

Top) Unmarked brass disk coat button.
(Bottom Left) Brass disk button stamped on back "EXTRA/ BEST COLOUR" (post ca. 1795; Hinks 1995)
(Bottom Right) Brass button back with a Sanders shank and a "PERFECTIONNE/ PARIS" backmark. The manufacturer of this button is unknown, albeit the Parisian firm of Viette & Gourdin did use the term "PERFECTIONNE" on their button backmarks during the early 1840s (Tice 1997: 78). The stamped domed face of this button is missing.
