Got a invite and had a great time. Got a little too much sun. But it was worth it. Have one wheat penny I cant get the date yet. The pictures speak for themselves. I have a lot more I have not run through the tunbler yet. I really enjoy finding stuff to tume. One such item was a US button.

looks like you found whats left of someones Army uniform.

Talking about cutting off your nose to spite your face. . . Nice finds. . . too bad that's the way politics go.

Sad. . .

I wasnt in the park when I found these. Some of which one of the guys gave me like the 50 cal rounds. The us button was in a glob of black much and I didnt know I had it. Two of the wheaties I did not know what they were. I have about four batches of stuff to tumble and research. Not counting the 40+ bottles. My signature was my reaction to the this years permits. But the hunt was a very good one. I picked up a wheatie as soon as I got out of the car. I may have some silver too, but still working that. I have to tumble like metals or I get funky colors. All I can say is the folks in Texas have some great hunting grounds. I was only able to hit a small 25 acre patch out of a few thousand acres. There is some great folks up in Texas and again thank you for sharing.

Im glad you enjoyed yourself... I believe everyone found silver that day. We're gonna have to hit again soon. Take care buddy

Glad you dug some good ones! :icon_thumright:

Sorry about the new park regs. Like you, we rid parks & beaches of a lot of trash and sharp & dangerous items which could hurt kids. Though some detectorists here leave big holes at beach, so far nobody has left any holes at the parks, so maybe we're ok for a while. Best of luck to you in November! Andi

If all else fails, run for city council yourself! :icon_sunny: Change always begins with one person.:icon_flower: Meanwhile, have a great time detecting elsewhere! Andi

Hey buddy, I found these a while back and had them in my pouch. I was saving them for you since you said you like collecting them.

I'll save them for you for the next time we meet.

Im going to have to post my shards too. Thanks

Hi Casca, looks like you hit a great spot there !!

Those are really good finds Casca. Finding old military items are exciting to me too.

Theres writing on the back of the buttons. I cant wait to get the rest of the black muck off to see it. I like my F75 as it is versatile. I can do almost any type of hunt with it above water lol. Thanks for the post.
