Countermark Info?

Hi-Just discovered this forum. Looks like a lot of knowledge here. Thought I would give this a try--
This is a draped bust LC which has been counterstamped on the obverse as shown. Can't find a reference as to what the meaning of the stamp may be. Rulau's United States Tokenswas no help. Can anyone give me a clue?? Will be a frequent visitor. Thanks, Dan

Hi, Dan. Welcome aboard. 8) Have no idea, but that's a nice find! Maybe Buckram will see this post and have some ideas for ya.

treasure coin. Go back to the spot you found it and look for a landmark. Go out the number of paces marked in each direction. Not a room check because there is no hole. Could also need to measure from where you found the coin. good luck, ss
