Well once again I proved my mother right by showing I didn't have enough sense to come in out of the rain..:) Spent the time at an 1800's farm house...found an undated Buffalo nickel, an 1889 Indian penny, an old musket ball(??) and a bell....after two hours and being soaked to the skin I finally gave in and called it a day....still 0 for the year on silver..that first silver piece is eluding me, been out a half dozen times and nothing so far...last year I found silver first time out...

Boy did it rain here, your nuts! Did you at least bring rain gear? I love the finds, I still can't come up with that musket ball, but you wait I'll get it.
P.s. don't hold your breath for me, you'll surely turn blue!

Keeper's all the way around Maine....A better day you'll be sure to find the silver....The rain is a little distracting for me to hunt in....Congrat's on the nice find's.....HH!!

Nice finds...But you know what ? Alot of times my best finds have been during the rain or right after a hard thundrstorm rain shower. Little shower cap for the detector and you are good to go! :)

Nice bell, wish there were more of them to be found, they are a pretty sight to see when you dig. But hunting in the rain? Nah :)

You guys are killing me.I've been under the weather, and still not 100%.I want to go MDing so bad I can taste it. ( Grumble - grumble ) Better not go yet,I hate hospital food.
Good finds, nice keepers, but a question, Does the bell still have a ding in it's ling ???

LeJeune...thanks for that..:) Already have a cold, have had it for weeks so I imagine being out in the rain didn;t help it much...oh well, gotta take advantage of being able to go in January while I can...:)

Don..I;m just thrilled that there isn;t a couple feet of snow on the ground and am thrilled to get out at all, so won;t let a little (well...alot) of rain stop me...:)

Moonshine...I;ve hit this place 7 or 8 times now...have found IH's, large cents and relics but thus far no silver..I am too stubborn to believe there isn;t at least one piece of silver there with the ages of the other coins I;ve found, so will keep hitting it over and over...:)
