Thought I would check in though my finds have not been great the past few weeks. Hoping for some good farm fields this fall. Got the Sterling riding crop/horseshoe pin, Buffalo and thimble at a school built in the late 40s.

Been trying the 9" coil lately and it really seems to glide over the iron much better than the 11". Dug a lot of iffy targets with square nails in the hole and a lot of targets with nothing but square nails in the hole :laughing7: Was shocked to pull my first large copper from the Pomander site in over a year. Also got the clay? button in one of my holes. Anyone know what it is made of and age?

Congrats love that Sterling horse riding crop/horseshoe pin!

That is a sweet pin. Those silver items seem to pop well on the detector I have more rings and silver trinkets that silver coins. Great finds Thanks for the post!!!!!!

Not many but, all cool finds. The dog days of summer are upon us.

Congrasts! That's a really cool sterling pin......very unique.

Congrats on some nice finds toasted, are you sure the button isn't metal. Looks a lot like the cast ones I've found lately, rang up very low like foil.

Thanks but its definitely not metal. It had me really confused for a while until I realized it wasn't what was beeping in the hole. Kept swinging it over my coil and thought something was wrong with my detector.
