Everyone I'm curious what you guys might grade these 2 Morgan dollars. The 1878 is the worse of my morgans. The 1886 is the condition of most of my Morgan dollars. Thanks for looking.

If you go to PCGS Coin Facts they have an option to view different grades of coins so you can make comparisons. I think that would be your best resource. Judging from one photo to another isn't nearly as accurate as when you have the coin in hand.

There maybe those on here that would feel comfortable giving you a more direct answer than I can. Hopefully they will be along shortly.

Thanks I appreciate it. The 1878 I'm unsure on grade, but the 1886 I would say might grade almost uncirculated.

My opinion would be VF on the 1878, and AU (maybe cleaned) on the 1886. I'd have to have it in hand to give an actual number........25 and 55 respectively would be my guess.

Thanks. I was thinking in my head VF on the 1878 as well & AU on the 1886.

I have zero experience with coin grades, but just spending some time comparing pics on the coinfacts app I thought the 1878(7 feather 1878 reverse) looked like VF30.

Then just going by details, not luster or marks, on the 1886 I thought the obverse looked like low MS with comparitive detail on the hair, hat, and flower crown. And the reverse looked like AU55 with the breast and feather wear.
But..🤷‍♂️
