can anyone tell me why this point is twisted like this?

Looks like it was made on a twisting flake. As a knife, that wouldn't have mattered much. Sometimes known as a potato chip :laughing7:
 
yeah it does look like a potato chip :headbang: the top point has the same shape, butnot as much as the black one. i will have to see if i can get a good picture of that one to post. Thanks for the info
 
I was told its caused by the pressure on the flaking strikes. I don't think its meant to come out like that. Just pressure.
