The Bobcat was moving pretty fast when I first spotted it, but for some reason when I stopped, it sat down and let me take a few pictures. I was on the highway shooting out the pickup window with a 400mm lens. I drove to a wide spot about 100 yards down the road, and got out, but never saw him again.
You can see how far away it was by one of the original uncropped versions. The closer ones are huge crops of the originals.
