Got to hunt a old church that is now owned by a guy I know and had a great day. Started out by hitting 5 wheat pennies in a row and all within 5 feet of each other. Then got a solid hit and dug up my first silver with a 1929 liberty dime and about 10 feet from there my first Indian Head penny and first pre-1900 coin with an 1891. Both the libby and Indian were both in great shape. I also dug up a fork that looks like it's been through a tornado and is mark says Asstd Silver Co solid yearex silver. Still trying to do some homework on the fork but a great day overall.
I'm having trouble attaching pics from my phone but will add them shortly from my computer

WTG Neal! Glad for ya buddy! I believe the fork was plated silver.

Thanks everyone. I really went away from that hunt thinking two things. ..1. Great set of finds for a single day and 2. I am going to be spending a lot of time on that property for a while.

Congrats on your first , love digging IH and sliver puts a smile on my face !

Great finds congrats!!!

Sweet Indian and Merc score!! Cool fork too - nice hunt!

Ok so I got the bug bad for this spot and headed there after work in the light rain knowing I was going to be rained out shortly... And I got second silver from the same spot. 1946 rosie...I think I'm in love! Lol

Congrats on all your firsts, Neal! Breaking into the 1800's is a great feeling, eh? WTG on the Merc too.

Yes, continue to grid that place thoroughly. I like to hunt a site like that in differing soil conditions.
