supposedly from the kentucky / tennessee border. I know very little about these points, not even sure of the material. To be honest I question their authenticity, they're just to good to be true. Next time I go through Kentucky, I will see what Jackson thinks.

Man those are killers. I hope they are real.

wow, that is one of the nicest looking points I've seen on here! JMO

thirty7, the material on the first one looks like Carter Cave Flint to me. Not sure on the second one though.

thanks for looking and commenting guys/ gals, I was thinking carter cave as well dorkfish, the second one is tough to i.d., pretty material though, translucent around the edges.

If it was west ky/tn, Id say they were both kaolin.

It was the very western ky/tn border, you're probably right Solll

I would have them looked at for sure. my reasoning is that the second one looks like Edwards chert/flint from Texas. it wouldn't hurt to get an outside opinion. here is one that I have in my collection from Illinois, I took it to Davis a few years ago and he gave it a G-10+.

that's a beauty, killer piece. I'm definitely going to get these looked at, and papered if authentic. I have a question for anyone who may know. Can you get a piece authenticated at an artifact show? is there usually an authenticator at shows? I plan on attending the Ripley show in a couple of weeks, wondering if I should bring some stuff to get authenticated.

Wow, those are outstanding. Looks like a great collection in the background also.

There are usually authenticators at the big shows.
