Couple short hunts - New Jersey Copper?

Spent a few hours detecting over the past couple days and headed out for a hunt today with the Patriot - not much on the finds table but did manage this old copper. Looks pretty much identical to the other I've found, but as usual with our coppers it's crusty as can be!! Pictures aren't great but if anyone can give an ID it would be appreciated!

Well at least you've got an old copper that will most likely get identified...it was good just to get out today!! Maybe next week will better!!
 
I was thinking a 2 cent piece when I saw the shield but the outline of it is different :icon_scratch:
 
Sure looks like a NJ to me. Way to go!
 
Probably a 1790s Condor Halfpenny. It looks like there's something above the shield similar to this.... maybe a lion? There is many designs.

I was looking at those as well, only thing making me think NJ copper is the rear, the way the date line is at the bottom. Either one is a cool find for me!

my thought as well, 18th C halfpenny token, not enough visible to get the book out :icon_scratch:
