Got a new permission today, A property near the river, near what used to be brick making area in the late 1800s early 1900s. I managed to find two silver from a much later time, 1945 Merc and 1937 quarter.

In another part of the woods I found a ox shoe and a Star. Didn't think much of the star until I started detecting down by the river. I saw bricks with a star indentation. And damn....what a perfect match! Going to do some research and figure out what brick company it was and what machinery was used to make that star indentation.

Enjoy photos and Happy 4th !

Actually, , there were 5 or 6 other brick companies in New York that were sub - contracted to meet the demand for Star Brick orders. These companies were authorized to use the Star Logo.

Congrats on the silvers, :occasion14: finding the bricks and the star piece and making the correlation between them is way cool.

The brick and star combination is an excellent story and piece of New York history, congratulations! :icon_thumleft:

LOL. I know 5 or 6 spots where ATW hunts, I'll publish the GPS coordinates!

Very nice. I like the fact that you found the star and the brick and were able to put the two together. It will make a great story and display piece.
