I bought a chair awhile back and it seems to be hand made and of course no markings. Wondering if anyone has any info of a chair like this before I mess it up abs sell in next month..

Then the other item I have no clue what it is. I've asked around and nobody has seen anything like it. Someone suggested maybe sewing box. But I don't really think so. Thanks for looking and any help y'all can offer. IMG_20171118_195201.webpIMG_20171119_201426.webpIMG_20171118_200708.webp

I have seen similar items used to store paper for starting fires in stoves & fireplaces.

I'm guessing its a sewing box/caddy. It isn't sturdy enough to be a tool box. And you don't need a handle on a bread box or kindling box.

I showed the pics to a cabinet maker. He said a lot of love and patience went into building that one...

I bought it at auction and there was a few boxes of sewing items and yarn. I paid more for that than I did the other items I bought that day. $20 I figured at the very least it makes a great conversation piece.

If you notice to the right there is a little hole.. There is a small wooden dowel rod you push in there when the door is shut and it "locks" It
