🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Couple wrenches

Found a couple wrenches today, both are a bit unusual for what I find, I hear some of the curvy ones can be valuable was curious if this one was generic or if it was a specific company. The other I’m not sure about the design doesn’t seem effective but obviously works if they were manufactured… I saw a similar shape called a pipe wrench but searching antique pipe wrench is just showing the typical form… maybe this wrench has another name? It does have grooved jaws and is robust

The unusual wrench is a "alligator wrench", used in locomotive/train work/steam engines, also used by lineman, used on pipes, water lines, rods, nuts and bolts, etc., the designed works by it forcing the pipe/nut/bolt further into the jaws as pressure is applied.

In some trades/fields of use they may call it a "goat wrench"

They are still made and sold today.

haven’t found anything like that out in the woods, probably be a find you leave where you found it.

Thanks au seeker for the help, It gives me something to go on to find more info, I don’t see any marks right now on either but I may give them a long soak in vinegar and see if there’s anything under the rust
