The first low yield small Site that we now call the 'Telegraph Pole Site' took us 3 hours to grid. We were keen to try this as its a relatively new discovery & not hit so hard. It's only produced about 30 coins in the past so the 12 we got was a good result.
We then moved next door to 2Sixes which is a slightly bigger site but we covered the main area in 3 hours getting a great result of 33 coins, we were both surprised at that. Although the flat wet conditions had improved our deeper target finds.
45 Roman Coins - 3 OK ones
Lead Token
1901 IH Penny (A first)
Bit of a Roman Plate Brooch
Broken Roman Box Seal Lid
Bits...
Our bend & snap had improved with practice from 45 in 7 hours to 45 in 6 hours.
