Summary

In 1910, a Ford driven by James Cherry won its class in the Munsey Historic Tour. The event tested a car's road performance and dependability during the 11-day, 1550-mile tour. Rules required teams to travel from one control point to another within specified times and penalized teams for vehicle repairs. Infractions diminished the automobile's reliability and could cost the team the race.
