Cozumel??

Taking a cruise in December which includes the island of Cozumel. Anybody ever hunt there?? Is it legal?? Name of Good beaches??

i read an artical about a couple who goes to mexico and it took them time to figure out that the higher class beaches paid off well for them. They go every year and seem to do very well. i would look for the rich people beaches like he stated in his artical. Hope this helps good luck!!

I'm not so sure about Cozumel. I've been on 3 cruises and and used me detector at public beaches at all ports. Did some detectin on Grand Cayman. At Montego Bay, me wife and I went to a beach where one had to pay admission to get in. Well, I started detectin the beach and a private security guard came up to me and ask what I was doin. I politely replied metal detectin was a hobby of mine. He told me to put the thing away, AND BELIEVE ME, I didn't waste any time! 8)

the beaches on czm were badly battered by Wilma. Lots of sand moved from point a to b. You can detect on the beaches but don't expect to find much. They have been worked for many years by locals and tourists. Now and then a security guard may give you a hard time or a local who feels he has the right to a beach. Places to look. Playa Azul or some of the beach area off San Franciso Beach.
