Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I was becoming frustrated while pinpointing targets with my wedding band on. Why not just take it off? I would but the ring had gotten tight and it was too mutch effort to bother with. So I got a ring tattoo. There are justifying reasons, I work with my hands a lot and weld ect. But the real reason for getting inked was convenience metal detecting.
To clarify, this is my first and only ever tattoo. They are discouraged in my religious culture, so getting one was somewhat outside the box. It got me to thinking what other crazy things some of you might have done for this hobby.

I know the pain especially with the very sensitive pinpointers.

Here is an alternative to a tattoo

Silicone Ring

Ok, so yes.... I had other options. But no regrets.

I left a lotta silver coins buried in the ground for other Detectorists to find. That's crazy...right? RIGHT??? 😂

I too only have one tattoo....
I got a badass pirate with a metal detector on my right arm.
I thought I was all that till a guy asked me why I’ve got a Mexican with a weed wackier.

:dontknow:#owned#momispissed#needmoreink.

Big Wave Dave....You a funny, funny man! Thanks for making me laugh after a long crappy day.

Saw this about those silicone rings.... "Each ring is infused with precious materials, blurring the line between traditional rings and silicone rings. Our copper rings are infused with real copper, our gold and rose gold rings are infused with real gold, our silver rings with real silver, ..."
Maybe they might give you a reading........

but dave , tell them about your wife's tattoos

She’s got a cute little honeybee on her right foot....
And her butterfly trampstamp she got long before I met her.....
It now looks like a moth.

It now looks like a moth.

Now thats funny ... LOL

I learned early on to strip all metal from your person before going out to swing the coil. Don't forget, I started in this hobby long before we had hand held pinpointers.

Before I could afford a pinpointer I would take a fistful of dirt out of the hole and swing it over the coil. Wedding band or watch would not give favorable results..lol

Hey guys. I am opening the topic again. I see that you were discussing the silicone wedding rings - I am planning to replace my metal ring with a silicone one. Are they getting loose with time?

No way to know if you will get the answer you seek - but looking forward to more entertaining posts on this topic.

Are you sure those silicone rings go on your finger?
