Went out from 8:00 - 4:00 today. First day I've hunted this year that was over 90 degrees and humid. Took lots of water, but the walk back to the truck was still sticky.

This piece is made out of really cool flint.

Found a couple of pretty nice knives. The first one is paper thin.

Found a rather large humpback scraper made real nice.

This piece is an obvious rework from a later culture...I thought it just a broken point at first, but they tried to rework the base down and put some hafting on it.

Hello there,

What a day' nice hike and hot. I'd be grinning
ear to ear. Woooo! Is the last pic a Stringtown Lancealot a Paleo?

Thanks
Bruce

Steve,

Where in Missouri are you. I lived in Columbia for 20 years. I use to walk the creeks and streams looking for points almost every weekend. My handle on the artifact websites was creekwalker.

Love the salvaged Rice and Table Rock, nice finds Steve.

I really wish you would quit posting these creek finds. I was fine hunting fields until I saw some of the creek stuff on here. I spent nearly 4 hours Thursday in a creek and the only thing I found was a particularly viscious flock of deer flies. I did find a few neat fossils but not a single flake of flint. It's a great gravel strewn creek that cuts through both of my best fields yet I find nothing. I keep thinking I will find something but I don't so I figure it's waste of time...then I visit here and see your terrific finds. It keeps me going.

Beautiful stuff by the way.

Forgot to post this really cool grinder I found in the creek, too. It is really banded beautifully. I took some of it wet to really show the color.

Yeah, the creeks around here are not nearly as productive, deer flies and mosquitoes is about all I find as well, way to go Steve!!!! :o

Steve-
AWSOME freaking finds, pal!!! The colors are great, lots of different stuff, and some good quality. You had a heck of a day! Truly impressive. Keep up the good work- and keep those pictures coming! (and I'm with you on those crazy flocks of deerflies-- man they're vicious! >:(

Here are the closeups of the point requested. It was partially covered when I found it, so I didn't know if it was going to be all there. Definitely the best piece I found for the day, except broken.
