Went out before the rain hit today and found a really pretty and well made side notch, a small crude point and a big blade and misc other parts.

Aarrrgggghh!! You're lying. You're buying these somewhere. I know it. But...I'll tell you what, you can prove me wrong by taking me out with you so I can see it with my own eyes. Deal?

Seriously, I love to see the things you find. You have me all hopped about about streams, creeks and rivers. I have got to master that method of hunting. Do you hunt waterways all year long?

With the cost of gas, it is almost like buying them! Yes, I hunt all year long unless the streams completely freeze over. I like the winter best--less bugs, competition, and algea on the rocks.

I've found, in the creeks I tried, that the fine silt that settled on all of the stones makes it tough to spot anything. I tried sloshing it off and then waiting for the murk to clear but it did not help. Do you hunt by shape more than color and texture? I definitely plan to exploit this possible source of artifacts as much as I can possibly can. I might give up deer hunting this fall to concentrate on creek walking. Maybe I will combine the two.
Keep posting cause I am waiting for your next day out.
