I hit four different banks yesterday trying to collect rolls of halves. The first three banks said they didnt have any. When I got to the fourth bank they simply asked how many I wanted so I bought 100 dollars worth. All the halves where hand rolled. I was pretty excited until I turned to leave and the bank teller asked me what was going on with half dollars because a guy had just came in a couple of days ago and purchased 2000 dollars worth and returned the next day and cashed some more in! Anyway to make a long story short I only found 1 1968 coin after going through them. It sounds like someone else is definately CRH as well. My question is should I continue going to the bank where I was able to get the coin rolls or should I try finding another bank that might have them?

I would ask them to order boxes for you and be sure they are sealed! I went by a bank today I sometimes order boxes from. They said they got a box but they had sold some out of it but could put 11 rolls back from other rolls they had. I said fine. I asked 3 people twice how many rolls were in the box that were original. They said all but 11. I did not look in the box till I got to my car. Sure enough, none were the shotgun rolls I normally get from them in the box. All were hand rolled. I only got one 1968 coin. They had all been searched and the guy/gal simply missed one. I will still go to that bank. I have gotten good boxes from them before, both halves and nickels. Ill just make sure the box is sealed and the rolls are the right kind.
