CRH New Year's Resolutions!

Let's make some resolutions for 2008, something we can look back at in 12 months and evaluate. And not just monetary goals (we all have those!) but other aspects of our hobby, such as a commitment to post more, putting more of an effort into searching, or learning more about coins. Heck, maybe even being more tolerant/grateful to tellers!

Mine:

- Go to the bank more! I tend to focus on slots so much that I get burnt out and forget banks. Some of my most interesting finds this year were from boxes.

- I definitely need to post more, especially encouragement and congrats to all the amazing finds. It's what keeps this site lively.

- I need to dedicate more time to nickels. Halves always preoccupy my mind when I'm searching casino slots but nickels are their neglected "little brothers."

- I shouldn't give up on quarters! This year proved that silver can be found in them thar quarter slots. Persistance and patience is all it takes.

Yours?

Re: CRH New Year's Resolutions!

Well I had the goal of searching 100,000 coins by the end of this past summer, but that didn't work out so well. Since my semester at school is gonna be a pretty easy one, here are a few of my goals:

- Search 200,000 coins by December 31, 2008.

- Double the finds I made in 2007.

- Find a triple digit number of keepers of each denomination. (Will be easy for Wheats and Pre-1960 Nickels, but not so easy for Dimes and Quarters.)

- Get on a CRH schedule. So far this year Saturdays are a definite CRH day and possibly Tuesdays and Thursdays.

- Finally, I'd like to develop a good relationship with a teller or two and be able to order boxes at anytime.
