Lol, I found a horse sleigh bell on my Grandparents farm circa 1920's, in the driveway on the 3rd. I reckon one of my great grandparents had used the winter sleigh rig to come over at some point. When I asked my Grandma, now 80 about it she said "I don't know where the hell that would have come from" It didn't have the attachment portion that yours had but has a 1 (or I on it) no engraving like yours. Fantastic find!

Its nice when the iron pea is still intact, gives a good ring.

:laughing7: It has been a few years since I've heard/read that version of the bell. Brings back memories of having a few good chuckles out in the field and online.

Great looking bell, and it's always a high point in cleaning them out and having them ring once again after being silenced for so long.

Congrats on a nice bell! Wrightdigger thetreasurenet in Ohio no doubt! Dig those mid tones!
