CS camp site

After me and a buddy did a lot of research and working with the town historian we think we may have located a confederate camp site that has been covered by woods over the years. It has recently started to be cleared and logged to develop. We are hitting this spot this weekend, fingers crossed our research is right

Had to cut my hunt short today for some family time I hunted for two and a half hours, I got a fired .58 minie what I'm guessing is a .69 carved and a nc state seal, It's hard hunting in there but I will be going back. It showed some promise. I'll attach pictures when I get home.

The bullet is at home I'll post it later, I'll be hitting this spot everyday this week. Got word my buddies that were still there when I left got on more bullets, two NC sunbursts, and lantern parts.

Able to get a quick hour hunt in today after work. Got a toe tap, pin fired shell case ( probably misfired as you can see from the back, hammered bullet and front of a flower button.

When out for two hours tonight, I think I'm getting close. Started to find some old glass in some of my holes . Here's what I got tonight. Hard to see from the picture but the flat button has stars and moons around the edges.

Out again this morning before the heat, I'm starting to honk this camp was only two people haha, just a few finds today. I got a buckle, two percussion caps, a flat button, one drop and one fired bullet.
