A friend of mine dug this in TN.? Could anyone shed some light on whether it is a true relic or reproduction that got buried.? Thanks in advance. The buckle is 3 inches across.
I'm no buckle expert but it looks real to me. And it is in awesome shape also. What makes you think it isn't real. It has all the hooks on it and appears to have 100 plus years of oxidation to it also. It's a great find if it turns out to be real. I'd have to say it's real. And worth some money also.
What part of TN was it dug? It does appear to be in overly good shape if it is real. Probably the best thing to do is to take it to a dealer who specializes in CW relics.
It is a Fantasy Plate Produced in the 1960s. I found one just like it near a CW site about 25yrs ago and had it checked by experts. Notice the sharp edge on the rear of the casting. Hope this Helps. trk5capt...
If someone had one of these CSA Buckles, and it was not in real
good condition, but you could see the CSA on it, doe's anyone know
about what it would be worth?
