What is up Tnet:hello:

Got out to a couple of CT Cellar Holes that were just down the road from one another..
One of them was just a beat up depression in the ground..I do not think this site ever even made it to the 1800's..
Grabbed some goodies including,

KG copper
Large Colonial buckle chape with pointed fork ends..Only dug an iron full buckle similar..Maybe it was for a boot
dunno.gif

Nice Cloak button with design

And a Tombac button that was smooth as glass still..And a few other odds and ends..

Second site made it to the 1800's but still grabbed some goodies

Another Colonial chape.

Nice harness designed button

Suspender buckle with leather still in tact its amazing how that can still be there after all these years underground:icon_scratch:

Flatties etc etc..

Had a great day the Ticks are out in full force.

Im lovin CT lots of cellars.

Its all part of my "No find left behind" campaign in CT..

Good luck out there

love the look of the sites your at. looks like its fairly easy to get around for being an "over grown" forrested area!

Good your getting out Johnny B. Man we just got snow again last night, seems like therer is going to be no spring season at all here this year.

The buckle "guts" are a tad unusual or is that just my ignorance ?

i like that johnny no find left behind! i dont know what your buds from that area think about it though. good to see your posting i got to get out myself. willy

Nice hunt Blaze! That cloak button is awesome! How do you like the MONSTER coil on your T2? More stable, less stable? Big Depth increase?
That one foundation hole looks super old. Looks like you got some nice sites to pillage :-)

Just kiddin.
Actually that buckle piece in the third pic is pretty interesting or are the tongues just bent into each other,
Seriousely, that's a lot of diggin for one day.

The big coil certainly covers more ground..It is much heavier than the stock coil..Believe it or not it will bring a good signal out of trash..

A must have if you own a T2..

Another great hunt, post, & pics JB!!! Those are some nice buckles, buttons, & coin. Clean the site as you go, my friend. If you don't, someone else will. Watch those ticks! WTG, Q.

I love to see your posts JB with those pics of cellar hole sites in the woods. And you certainly did well with a bunch of early finds. BTW - I see you're using the same large coil I have for my F75. What are your thoughts on it? Are you getting much more depth than the stock coil?

What a great hunt. I wish we could hunt the woods around here. We have too much dense greenbriar and vines to do that.

Nice assortment of finds. Love the pics of the cellar hole and surrounding area. Keep at it.
