The temperature was 80 degrees with low humidity. I'm still waiting for the delivery of a few coil charging clips for my DEUS. No way I was going to let a beautiful day like yesterday slip by without detecting. I reached for the CTX, loaded up the bike and headed for one of my favorite parks.
Little did I know that this hunt would end up being 8 hours long, especially since I didn't start swinging the coil until 12 P.M.
The targets just kept coming. I had one plug that produced 4 wheat pennies. Another plug produced 5 keys, and still another produced 5 clad dimes. About 2 hours into the hunt, out popped a 1944 Mercury Dime.
Other interesting targets were a junk ring that rang up like silver, a College Game Room Token, (A degree in Pinball required), a harmonica reed, a small badly decomposed pocket knife, and a pin that reads, "In The Name Of 7D." I think it is a Seventh Day Disciple Pin. (Not sure).
My total coin count for this outing came to 101. What a nice way to spend 8 hours
