buy some halves.
Picked up 2 boxes that I ordered at Wells Fargo and they were a Brinks run.
Found 3 -40% in the first 5 rolls - that got me smiling! I calculated the percentages and figured a nice score for the rest of the rolls.
Unfortunately, the chickens never hatched. The balance of the boxes were 90% 2000's.
Following the advice of the successful posts here, I went to an out of the way bank today while I was working and asked for some rolls.
The nice girl's eyes lit up and she said she had $250 she'd like to get rid of! She said she needed $1000 before they could ship them.
The guy next to me at the counter says "I collect coins - what's the deal with halves?"
Thinking quick I told him I needed them to give out as prizes in a contest for kids.
I committed to the $250 and needed to use the ATM to pay for them. It was on the back side of the building I was told.
Well, it was a driveup so I had to wait in line behind a truck and a car, wondering if that guy was going to trump me on the halves before I could get the cash. It's a goofy feeling being afoot in a drive-thru lane.
The girl had them waiting for me when I got back and put them in a box for me. The guy was still there eyeing me suspiciously.
I glanced at them on the way out the door. They all looked hand rolled.
I stopped at a BK on the way home and cracked a roll while I waited in the drive-thru (in a truck this time!). It was mostly 71's and 76's. I gave the girl 5 halves for the $2.17 tab. She called the manager. Both of them were confused. 2 minutes later I pulled away and realized I had $.77 in change a mile down the road. Profit already!
I searched them when I got home and was happy to see a lot of variety. A lot of the rolls were all 71 or 76 or 72 or 73.
Then I hit the super roll!
5 - 40% and 3 -90% (64's) all in the same roll!!!
That was the extent of it - just the great pile in one roll but the percentage beat the heck out of the Brinks boxes!
Oh, I did get one roll with $11 in it!
