Curious find from other day

found this near fishing area
looks like a lure that hook probably rotted off
dont know if someone made it from something
or dept. was giving lures away as gifts
found 2 of my gold near it - that was crazy

With the 2 holes it would seem that it was a fishing lure (one for lure and one for line). As you said, might be a promotional item. Maybe the local Dept of Mental Health could provide insight.

However, great find.

It's a miniature BlackJack, most likely for knocking out unruly Leprechauns in the Psych ward......

hey casper i believe its a home made lure from a spoon or a fork

Its a casting steel. Some are hammered, some painted, and others smooth. Mostly used for casting into surface feeding schools of fish like bluefish or stripers on the east coast. Looks like he maker of this one considered it as a treatment for mental health.
