Curious what this coin might be worth? 1803 DB Large Cent

Just curious as to what this coin might be worth? Am I correct that it is a Large Date and Large Fraction? Any help would be appreciated.

Would need more info if it was dug its considered eviornmentally damaged by grading companies. Plus a collecter would need to look at it up close to inspect for wear scratches ect If you go to eBay there are many for sale .Plus if you collect coins a Good coin book is a must and very helpful .....Tommy

It does look incuse but I believe it’s the photo, and slight shadow.

Doesn’t appear to be a stamp, but raised. Then again, it could just be the photo.

OK, the mint marks were much smaller and didn't start marking til 1854 in San Francisco(the first minting location. See

What is the ,"S" for?

The S is a counter stamp. It was punched on the coin by someone after it left the mint. Fairly common in the old days to see initials, or stamps on coins to personalize them.
