wondering what happened to the post about the
1640 hammered found in Virginia ?

no, i think allen is referring to a hammered copper or bronze that was found in va.
perhaps the poster took it down because of some of the responses in the thread?
i didn't follow it enough to know, though.
it was a beautiful coin.
