I have not tried it yet so don't know how it works. Left the tang long to probe for coins in the 4" range but might cut it off. Will grind when I get the chance.

Shouldnt the tip be softer materal? That will really do some damage to your coins.

I was thinking the same thing. It could damage a great coin. On the other hand. That is one nice hand made digger. Well thought out and well made.
