I found this at a creek that was a site of a three day artillery battle. I have soaked it in apple vinegar, and then dipped in paraffin like aquachigger showed on his videos. I was watching the show Diggers on Nat Geo, and they dug one like this in VA, and the historian they showed it to called it a Barlow knife, and that it was commonly carried by CW soldiers. Is this true?

Hello mtholen,

Very nice find, sir. I'd like to see more closeups, should you be so kind. Any visible markings?
