details, was hunting a park in melrose, mn. I was finding pennys and more pennies, so i decided to go closer to the small river that ran through the park and bingo, found this at 2". using a bh 101 at the time. This park was in the town i lived in at the time. Where i lived at the time was also next to a car wash, this is where i first got into metal detecting, the wife bought me a fingerhut detector that sat in my closet for 2 years, when i met a guy in the park doing it one day. So i took out the closet detector and decided to go through my yard. found lots of pennies, even an old ih (pic), also the ww2 air corp pin . Then after watching the guy who owned the car wash takin his ole tractor in the bays and cleaning out the grate drains, he would throw some sand on it go around back and dump it next to the old rr tracks behind my house. now thinking there has to be coinage there, i started to detect what he had been dumping for the past 20 years. WOW was i surprised, i thought the detector had broke, it went crazy when i got back there. To cut the story abit short i hunted the little hill (area was 6'wideX25'long) i found alittle over $980.00 all in pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters. I continued to hunt it till we moved. Lived there 4 1/2 years. Was getting down to where there should have been some silver, but the city came told the guy to clean it up, and we moved. I know there is still more there. But was it ever fun. the pic of the very first ih i found and the only on the property. no silver, and believe me i dug everything.
