Found this today at a place we have found many CW relics. It was found very close to a CW bullet. It is brass. Thanks for looking.

Broke off of a candle holder.

looks like one of those finger loops off of a lighter weight candle stick base.

Hey relic nut, if you find out what it is let me know. I found this one in a CW camp also. I don't think this is a finger loop for a lamp or candle holder but I could be wrong. The finger loops I have found are thicker (like a wedding band). This mystery item is only slightly thicker than the quarter (about 3 mm).

That looks very much like mine and yes it is very thin. We shall see

Seeing yours made me go back an take a closer look relic nut's relic again. I have changed my mind on the ID and suggest that it could be a finger ring off of an old wick cutter. Do a google image search for "antique candle wick cutter" and take a look at some of them.

RELIC NUT SO YOU FOUND THE ANSWER FOR WHAT YOU POSTED UP . AT FIRST THOUGHT A CANDLE SNUFFER BUT AFTER LOOKING CLOSER A FINGER RING TO CANDLE BASE HOLDER.
