Found this week; I have no idea .... it seems to have been made with the slot in the side.

It's hard to be certain but it looks similar to an old lipstick tube.

In your photos its diameter looks smaller than a dime. If that is correct, it can't be a coin dispenser. Also if that is coorect, I agree that it appears to be a lipstick tube.

Lipstick tube. Clean that cap. Usually some intricate small in detail writing. Jgas
