cz7 help needed please

hi there i have a cz7, my favorite, my son tried to help and put new batteries in it. somehow he cut the two wires the battery tray plugs into.
i have only one good hand/arm, thank u mr stroke, so i cant fix it. will fisher still work on my relic, i mean detector. lol or do i have to retire it. any help is appreciated.
