She Who Must Be Obeyed and I watched Dark City last night, a movie from 1950. This was the first big screen appearance of Charlton Heston, who plays a brooding gambler down on his luck. Also in the movie are Jack Webb, playing a two-bit criminal gambler, and Harry Morgan as a smiling sidekick. It is great to watch Webb and Morgan in such different roles, a decade or so before they teamed up as the pair in Dragnet.
So, if you want to watch an excellent film noír with crime, a murder, a singing dame, tough policemen and ultimately redemption for the main character, do watch it. It's available on Amazon Prime.
