I’m not a furniture expert by any means but with today’s craze on vintage furniture you could probably get $100 or more easily for it even if it’s not “antique valuable”. Lots of people like those kinds of chests to paint and refurbished or repurpose to their own likes. Is there a name on it anywhere?

I don't know, but I'd give you more than $100 for it. Location?

I would too lol

Based on those dove tails it looks to be handmade and I would bet from the late 1800’s. Be sure to check the back, drawers and underside to see if you can find a makers mark. If you find one, research it online. Most chests don’t sell for much but if it is an older piece it is worth checking with a antique furniture dealer.

Yes, it is hand made. It is called "empire" style and that was popular in the 1830's and 1840's. SEVERAL hundred, depending on the buyer. Know that you know the style you can check out similar pieces on ebay or such.
