I think I posted a pic of this jar earlier. Still wondering about it. The "How to date a Ball jar" page shows block letters and dating it 1895-1896. Their depiction is different than my jar. So, wondering if anyone has any info as to whether mine may be earlier or later than the depiction.

I think I saw this jar when you originally posted it, and I think I guessed somewhere between 1915 and 1925. I wasn't using the "how to date a Ball jar" guidelines either, but just going by the look of the Owens scar on the bottom.

They were well into script by 1915-1925. Script started 1895-1896 according to the guidelines. Here is a pic of the bottom. Thanks for helping with this.

I think this mold was originally for BOYD Perfect mason jars and they were patched and then the BALL was cut into the patched mold, but I do not know the time period...

According to my sources, if ePackage is correct (and i believe he is), the time period is circa 1910-1914.

Seeing a better picture of the bottom now I would agree it's a bit earlier. And it definitely does look Boyd-y, the style of lettering

Found this a awhile back, hope this helps.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1532833218.189114.webp

I will post it when I get home tonight. This is from the Red Book of jars.

Thank you Goldenplug.
