I'm calling this section 3. For those that have followed this, I said that this area may produce as it has a very old footpath/bridal way running across it. Well it sure has 8) Dad & I did a 3 hour hunt in the morning as we were expecting rain & he was expecting a vistor in the afternoon. He dropped me off for a further 3 hours in the light rain. (9 man hour total hunt).
Dad got the star find of ;
Elizabeth I 1590-92 Sixpence (our best grade Lizzy sixpence so far) 8) 8)
It was found just off the old footpath
My best find was a Victorian Hertfordshire Yeomanry Cavalry button found on the bridal way. Still used by horse rider's, was he wearing his uniform on a jolly??
2 scrappy roman coins
Nice 'Beehive' Medieval Thimble
and bits..
