Day One of the Weekend Hunt

Yesterday we started my planned 2 day hunt (Sun,Mon). Our site was mid 1700s farmland with mention of Confederate Civil War activity. Our party consisted of my wife, 3 year old daughter, myself and my friend Brian. Brian broke the ice with his first find a small Tombac button. Then my wife found a small Tombac. I was only finding small lead round balls then it was my turn and i located a Tombac. We moved fields and Brian recovered a "Batwing" or CW carbine sling end, i suspect would have been CSA. My wife found a broken "arrowhead tip". Anouther field swap and Brian locates a very nice "arrowhead".

I forgot to mention "Slick Willy" the donkey, also dont feed the wildlife they tend to follow you around.

Congrats on a very nice day out, I've made the mistake of feeding one huge black lab at one of my permissions, great dog but at one of my water breaks I fed him a banana nut muffin...(he didn't even chew..tsk)...then he wouldn't leave my side, getting in my holes, chewing my coil and pulling my headphones off.
