Daytona Beach hunt

I went to Daytona beach today.

I found a total of

$3.26 in clad

one pair of sunglasses

1 junk earring

4 poptops

was knocked down by the rough surf twice.

Found at least 100 to 200 college ladies in bikinis with in 100 yards of where I parked, plus they were having a bikini contest right behind where I parked my van

For me it was a successful day.

You did better than me. I hit Cocoa again today, found about $2.00 in clad, one junk ear ring on land, and a metal plate in the water, and not nearly as many Bikinis.
Surf was a little high today.

I hit Indian Rocks Beach for about an hour today, found 37 cents clad, a Tampa Bay Devil rays/ Checkers coin good for a hamburger (expired Jan, 2007) and rusted pieces of iron (with the usual bottle tops). Got to watch the sun set over the Gulf though, Good Day, relaxing.... Where Is My Gold!!!

Surf was pretty rough in Daytona as well, which is why I was knocked down twice. Lot of 4-6 foot waves. One was like I had been blind sided at the knees, went down hard. I was chasing a tone and not keeping an eye on the waves like I should have. To make it worse, it was a pull tab that I was chasing.

Tek, if you want to split the costs and go to Daytona sometime and hunt together send me your contact numbers. I try to go at least once or twice a week. I live on the NW side of Orlando, close to the intersection of Hiawassee and 441.

Sorry guys, my digital camera is not waterproof and very expensive so I don't carry it with me which was good since I was knocked down twice by the surf so even if I had it in a back pack on my back, unless it was in a water proof bag it would be trash now.

If I can find a good one that is waterproof and fairly cheap I will get it. My wife sent the cheap one I had to the Philippines for her family to use.
