I have had Bounty Hunter Time Ranger (V4) for a couple of years, and would like to make it a little more versatile. First Texas (manufacturer of BH, Fisher, and Teknetics) offers only concentric coils for this specific model. I would like to see how my detector would perform with an 11" or larger DD coil. I am told that a DD coil for the Fisher F2 or F4 will work OK.
If this is true, then shouldn't aftermarket DD coils (Detec,CORS,etc) made for those models work, as well?
