I found a few things today, I'm very curious about the silver lump I found. It had a very high VDI number (unlike lead), and it's VERY heavy (unlike aluminum), but I'm not sure how to tell if it's silver. Also, it's not magnetic...can anybody help me? :dontknow:

I have a good eye for silver and... :icon_scratch: I'm willing to bet that's a lump of silver and not lead or Slag... !!! :o However the Real Only way to tell is to have it acid tested on a rub test. :icon_thumleft: Awesome find !! :headbang: PS: In the 2nd picture it almost looks like a stack of coins.... :dontknow: ???

Keep @ it and HH !!! ;D :D

It appears to be sterling silver that was in a fire. The shape(s) indicate to me that there was more than one piece of jewelry melted together.

Congratulations!! With silver over $32 right now, not too shabby.

Woohoo, thanks guys! I have a feeling it's silver, I'm going to take it to the jewelry store tomorrow and see if they can say for sure.
