Several of us went down to the Maryland and Delaware beaches the last week or so. Between the 5 of us we found 2 old coppers, a few handfuls of modern coins, sinkers, some ships' brass, and at Bethany Beach found a nice assortment of 20mm World War II machine gun rounds and burst shell frags.

Not great, but fairly decent.

Anybody else been to the areas lately?

Tell 'ya what, I'll go today and see if Tuesday's storm did anything.

I thought about it, but could not find the time to get away. My wife showed me all the facebook photos of large conch shells, peir debris, and trash IN Ocean City, taken right after the storms. From that I figured I might find more trash than good targets. Was it still pretty trashy while you were there?

I would love to ;live near a beach. Great finds

It's three hours from here. I'm just hard headed. Anyway, got back just a little bit ago, went to 2 places, got a handful of modern change, some fishing tackle, some great sea glass, some nice shells,
and at Bethany got more nickels and numerous pieces of WWII shrapnel. No bullets this time, Drats.

Now for tomorrow's adventure...choices, choices...Civil War, back to the beach, the 1750 farm, the other 1750 farm, or the ca 1890 trash dump behind my house. Not the trash dump, it's on a hill and the
ground is almost thawed.

I saw one other detectorist out there, he had modern and fishing tackle only also.

Was at the beach, no one else was detecting. Worked from high tide about 5 hours down towards low tide. Hardly got any signals at all. Nice sea glass however.
Then I went down to Bethany and got some more WWII shrapnel.
Tomorrow, clean the house (eeuck) or CW detecting....
