Depth Multiplier

Just wanted to see what the thinking was on Depth Multipliers.

I own a Tesoro Super Traq for gold nugget hunting and I want to get into more Relic Hunting. How does a Depth Multiplier do when it comes to getting a bit deeper for relics?

Any recommendations?
